DEVOUR Eat Fish & Ocean Animals is a 60-player ocean survival game by Elasmonian Games. The official loop is start small, hunt for food, eat to grow with no published size limit, unlock stronger predators, fight other players, and explore the reef, open ocean, or The Deep.
You are always either the hunter or the hunted. That one line from the official page should shape every first session: eat things smaller than you, leave things larger than you, and do not treat the map like a peaceful aquarium.

Footage of a live run starts with Click to bite the starfish! (Bd9IHpMI5Q8@00:00). Stay in the reef, eat obvious smaller fish, and wait for Open the fish tree (Bd9IHpMI5Q8@01:28). The First Life badge is awarded just for joining, so the real first goal is the second fish.

The official description says eat to grow with no size limit. A tutorial line in footage repeats that leveling up makes you bigger and there is no limit to how big you can get (Bd9IHpMI5Q8@02:24). Play as if size always matters, but do not stall waiting for a hidden max-size screen.

The side menu later shows Fish Tree, Mastery, Shop, and Packs (Bd9IHpMI5Q8@14:24). Open each tab once so you know where evolution lives. Do not spend in Shop or Packs until the free tree is moving.

Ignore copied Hungry Shark or Feed and Grow Fish animal lists. Ignore Steam DEVOUR codes. Ignore The Deep until you have a second fish and a trait. The official page is selling a food chain, not a speedrun into the darkest water.
